Privacy Policy

WaveRD operates https://www.waverd.com. This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information we receive from users of the Site. We use your Personal Information only for the functionality of this site. By using the site, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

Information Collection and Use

While using our Site, we may ask you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify you. Personally identifiable information may include, but is not limited to your name—which we don’t ask for—but your handle (nickname), as a way of reference to a particular manager.

Data Collection

Some common personally identifiable information we collect and what we do with the data we receive:

  • Handle/Nickname: A way for other managers/users and WaveRD to identify you.
  • Birthdate or Gender: For the sake of privacy, we do not ask for either.
  • Email & Password: It is proprietary that every account has a way to authenticate with our server. There's no better way to accomplish this than with the traditional email/password method, which is unique and used to identify/authorize/authenticate viewers.
  • Gender: We'll never ask for your gender, nor will it be revealed to any user, since we don't have it.
  • Statistics: We carry out statistical analysis with WaveRD.

Log Data

Like many site operators, we do not collect information that your browser sends whenever you visit our Site ("Log Data"). This Log Data may include information such as your computer's IP address, browser type, browser version, the pages of our site you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages, and other statistics.

We may use third-party services such as Google Analytics, Google Ads, Amazon Ads, etc., that may collect, monitor, and analyze this data.

Communications

We may use your Personal Information to contact you with newsletters, marketing or promotional materials, and other information that you might need.

Cookies / Local Storage & Security

Cookies/Local Storage: These are files with a small amount of data, which may include an anonymous unique identifier. They are sent to your browser from a website and stored on your computer's hard drive.

Like many sites, we use cookies/local storage to collect information. You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, if you do not accept them, you may not be able to use some portions of our Site.

Security: The security of your Personal Information is important to us and is considered in the design and development of our system. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

Changes to Terms of Use and Conditions

This Terms of Use and Conditions is effective as of Sunday, 24th May 2020, and will remain in effect except for any future changes, which will take effect immediately after being posted on this page. We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify, update, or replace these Terms and Policy at any time, and you should check the Terms and Policy periodically, although we might send a “policy or terms update notification” to your email.

If a revision is material, we will try to provide at least $30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion.

Your continued use of the Service after any modifications to the Privacy Policy are posted constitutes your acknowledgment and consent to be bound by the modified policy.

If we make any material changes, we will notify you either through the email address you have provided us or by placing a prominent notice on our website.

Social Provider

For a secure and reliable method to ensure account safety, we've implemented passwordless authentication (for sign-in purposes only) using either your Facebook, Twitter, or Google account. When we authenticate a user, we do not ask for any data other than your email address, which is used to check if an account already exists in our database.
